Bible Studies and Discussions

Crossroads
20’s 30’s Small Group Ministry meets each month for bible study, fellowship events, and outings. Please contact Angie Strotman (273-0988, astrotman@hotmail.com) if you would like to be added to our e-mail list. You may also find us on Facebook! Please refer to the calendar for monthly dates.

Men’s Bible Study
Meets every other Thursday morning at 7 am at CtK. The focus is some portion of the Bible using a published guide.

Men’s Discussion Group
Meets Wednesdays at 6 pm at CtK. This is a group of men who uses books or videos to promote religious discussions on topics of interest.

Adult Discussion Group
Meets Wednesdays at 6 pm at CtK. This group of men and women, also uses books or videos to promote religious discussions on topics of interest.

Friday Morning Women’s Bible Study
Meets at 9 am at CtK during the school year. The focus is some portion of the Bible using a published guide, or other book of interest.

WOW (Women on Wednesday)

Meets two Wednesdays a month, 7:00 to 8:30 at CtK. This women’s group typically does a book study led by members of the group.

Adult Forum
Is held Sunday mornings from 9:30 - 10:45 am. A variety of topics of interest are presented by members of the congregation or outside speakers. These are typically one or two sessions in length.

Congregation-wide Book Study
Generally takes place in the fall. A book is selected by the pastor or Adult Discipleship Formation committee and is potentially the focus of all adult study groups.



Fellowship

YAH (Young at Heart)
Typically empty nesters, this group welcomes all ages. There are monthly gatherings for lunch and a program, both on and off site.

Fit & Faithful
Meets Mondays at CtK from 6:30 - 8:00 pm for exercise and fellowship.

Genealogy
Gathers in the Room 504 the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7 pm. Attendees learn to trace their genealogy with computer assistance. Experienced leaders are present to help in all aspects.

No classes in July and August- We may use this opportunity to work the service project. TBA

June 22, 2010, 7pm- Genealogy Service project- Please join us as we help other genealogy researchers. Our plan is to help at a cemetery, photograph headstones or go get genealogical records for others. Instructor/organizer- Brigitte Evens tropishells@aol.com

September 28, 2010, 7pm- How to use GenSmarts software to organize and focus your research when you go to Allen County, IN library. If you are interested in purchasing this software or going to Allen County, please contact Lynne Wolfgang, Instructor lynnewolf@aol.com

Prayer Shawl Ministry
Meets the first Thursday of the month at 10 am and 7 pm at CtK. While in prayer and fellowship, participants knit or crochet shawls for others in need of comfort and care.

Adult Euchre Night
Meets the first Friday of the month at 7 pm for euchre. Come alone or with others.

King's Diners
Meal/Fellowship events with 8 individuals who gather for potluck in a member's home 3 times during the months of October - May.

Women’s Lunch Bunch
Meets the first Tuesday of the month at 12:30 pm at Perkins Restaurant on 933 in South Bend.


Sports

Softball
During the spring and summer, on Tuesdays at 6:15 pm, CtK fields a co-ed team that plays on local fields against other local church teams.

Basketball
During the winter, pick up basketball is played at a local elementary school on Thursdays at 6:30 pm.

Golf
An informal gathering of golfers who play together Thursday evenings in suitable weather at a local golf course.
