Christmas is a busy time for all of us. Between the family and friend gatherings, the office parties and church activities, it is sometimes hard to fit in daily life. With that said, it is the mission of Christ the King to love and serve the world. Below are just a few ways you may live out our mission this holiday season.
Volunteer at the Clay Food Pantry’s Island of Misfit Toys
Throughout the month of December, guests of the food pantry are given the opportunity to “purchase” gently used toys and have them wrapped to give to children for Christmas. Each toy has been cleaned and marked with a price. Guests will be given fake money, allowing them to purchase one big toy or multiple toys, depending on the toys’ condition and size. Clay needs volunteers to work the Misfit Toy store and wrap the gifts. Click here to signup to volunteer online.
