Attend Worship & Serve at CtK
There are many ways to be involved with the CtK congregation in addition to attending worship on Sundays. Consider preparing the sanctuary for worship, participating in the worship service, joining
a church committee, caring for fellow CtK members, or teaching Sunday School.

Local Missions
Here are some of the opportunities available:
- Angel Tree – Organize and deliver Christmas gifts to various local organizations who serve those
in need. - A Backpack & Beyond – Help children pick out new items for school at this day-‐long event.
- Braille Bible Team – Join the team who prints Bibles at St. Peter’s most Tuesdays from
2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the academic year. - Broadway Christian Church Collaboration – Members collect hats and mittens to be taken
to Broadway Christian Church who distribute them to those in need. - Center for the Homeless – Serve residents an evening meal on the last Saturday or Sunday
of the month. - CROP Walk – Raise funds to support local food pantries. You can do this by becoming a walker
or by donation. - Dismas House – Prepare and serve a monthly evening meal to former inmates.
- God’s Work/Our Hands – coordinated day/s of service throughout our community in September.
There will be signups for a variety of ways to serve. - Habitat for Humanity – Meal preparation for workers or help build a house for a low-income family. This is part of the annual Matthew 25 Build.
- Little Flower Food Pantry – Food is collected at CtK and delivered to the food pantry monthly.
- Madison STEAM Academy – CtK members serve as volunteers at the school by assisting withspecial projects.The committee uses proceeds from fundraising events and Extra Mile giving to feed students on the weekends (Foodpacks for Kids).
- Meals on Wheels – Volunteers deliver meals to home-bound clients on a weekly basis.
- Mum Sale – CtK sells mums in the fall. Proceeds go to the Madison Foodpack Program.
- Rummage Sale – Members sort donated items throughout the year and/or set up the week of the sale. Members also man the rooms, the checkout table, and the refreshment area. Proceeds benefit our social ministry projects and youth trips.
- St. Margaret’s House – Personal care items are collected at CtK and delivered to St.Margaret’s House monthly.
- Women’s Care Center – Members help distribute clothing and baby items to new low-income moms.
Global Missions
If you have an interest in international service, CtK is committed to support two international organizations, one in Jamaica and one in Liberia. We support these missions, both financially and through annual mission trips.
Jamaica Mission Team – Sunbeam Boys Home is a children’s home to serve children and young adults
in Jamaica, by providing a safe and nurturing environment while teaching the principles of Christian living. A team of volunteers serve as missionaries at the home. They lead the boys in various activities and help to complete work projects.
Phebe School, Liberia ‐The committee enlists the help of CtK members to sponsor a student in the school. Contributions pay for the student uniform, books,and tuition for the school year.

Mission Fund
The Mission Fund at CtK was created by donations from the Into Campaign to support local and global organizations where CtK members are actively involved as volunteers. CtK members can apply for Mission Fund grants to support programs, projects, and capital needs of the organizations where they volunteer.
