At Christ the King we believe that an essential part of being a disciple is acting on one’s faith. We offer a variety of ways to engage with God, the community at large, and with each other. Please let us know what you might like to explore. Consider your talents and abilities, your interests and needs, and take a few minutes to complete the survey. We encourage members from grade 9 to age 99 to complete the survey.

Thank you for being part of the Body of Christ.

Below are a list of the different ministry areas available at CtK. Under each ministry description is a level of interest drop down menu - please choose an area you would like to work with at the Church.
Caring Ministries - How we love and serve each other. Some of these opportunities include working directly with members of the congregation. Our Card and Hook & Needle Yarn groups make items to share, the Eucharist group brings communion to home-bound members, Fresh Hope and GriefShare offer mental health support, Funeral and Meal options provide food outreach and the Pastoral Care Team offer periodic check in with CtK members.

Adult Faith Formation (AFF) Ministries - How we love and learn from the Holy Spirit and each other. These opportunities allow you to connect with adult members of the congregation through bible study groups, speakers and education outreach.

Child Faith Formation (CFF) Ministries (ages birth through fifth grade) - How we love and teach our children. These opportunities are great for people who love to work with young children through teaching, assisting with events or simply donating supplies and time for a specific project like Vacation Bible School, Trunk or Treat or the Christmas Party.

Youth Faith Formation Ministries (YFF) (ages 6th through 12th grade) - How we love and teach our youth. These opportunities are great for people who enjoy working with teens through teaching, chaperoning events, overseeing activities or simply offering a second set of hands/supervision.

Fellowship Ministries - Building relationships in our community of faith. Connect with members of the CtK community through some of our many fellowship groups. Men's Breakfast meet to discuss Christian books, Men's Lunch meet for fellowship, the Women's Lunch Bunch is a social group that meet monthly, Euchre Night is a monthly card group, sports enthusiasts have opportunities throughout the year, and we are always in need of volunteers to serve refreshments at the many events happening at CtK.

Mission Ministries - How we love and serve the world at home and globally. This is a great way to connect with the CtK community and our local area. The Angel Tree organizes and delivers Christmas gift donations to local organizations, members collect hats and mittens for Broadway Christian, each month a meal is prepared and served at the Center for the Homeless and Dismas House, Backpack & Beyond collects schools supplies in collaboration with Clay United Methodist Church, and Braille Blind team assembles braille Bible's.

Leadership and Committees - How we work with other leaders to promote the welfare of the congregations. The success or our church relies on the important work of our congregation council which includes membership from various groups within the church. The council has officer positions of President, Vice President, Recording Secretary, Financial Secretary, and Treasurer. Our council liaison positions are Adult Faith Formation, Child Faith Formation, Communications, Evangelical Outreach, Fellowship, Pastoral Care, Property, Social Ministry, Stewardship, Worship and Youth Faith Formation.

Operational Ministries - How we steward our building and our congregation. If you appreciate working with your hands one of these ministries is the right place for you. It includes working around the outside of the building on the property, inside the facility in the kitchen and directly with staff members.

Worship Ministries - How we love and glorify God. If you love being part of the weekly service consider joining one of our many worship ministries. They include preparing the table for communion, being an acolyte, greeting guests, reading, being an usher, singing, playing a musical instrument or working with technology at each service.
